Meet Kandela
Born in Mexico, DJ Kandela has been setting dance floors on fire for over 15 years. Growing up surrounded by the rich sounds of Mexican and Latin culture, music has always been in his blood — from the Banda and Norteño blasting at family cookouts to the Reggaeton and Dembow shaking the clubs.
Kandela is one of the few DJs who can seamlessly blend Regional Mexicano — Banda, Corridos, Corridos Tumbados, Norteño, Sierreño, Duranguense, Zapateado — with Caribbean heat like Bachata, Salsa, Merengue, and Dembow, then pivot to Reggaeton, Latin Trap, Cumbia, Moombahton, and Latin House without missing a beat. Whether it's a traditional Mexican wedding, a quinceañera with all the traditions, or a packed NYC club night, Kandela knows exactly how to read any crowd and keep the energy at its peak.

Absolutely! We encourage clients to share a playlist of must-play songs and any do-not-play requests. We also take live requests from guests to keep the energy going.
We're based in New York City and serve all five boroughs, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut. We also travel for events nationwide -- additional travel fees may apply.
Our Essential package includes professional speakers suitable for up to 150 guests. Premium and Ultimate packages include upgraded systems for larger venues with subwoofers and additional speakers.
Simply fill out our booking form, and we'll review your event details. You'll receive a contract within 24 hours. Once signed and the 50% deposit is paid, your date is locked in!
Yes! DJ Kandela is fluent in both English and Spanish, perfect for bilingual events. MC services are included in Premium and Ultimate packages.
Cancellations made 30+ days before the event receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations within 30 days are subject to a 50% deposit retention. Full details are in the contract.
Yes, we always bring backup equipment to every event including spare cables, a backup laptop, and emergency speaker. We never leave your event to chance.
